BYOC
Can I unlock a BYOC agreement after locking it?
Yes. BYOC follows the same reopen standard as the template wizards. You can reopen before final execution to replace parties, repair invitation access, move fields, or update terms.
- You must be the owner or have agreement management permissions.
- The status must be Ready to Sign, Signing, or Locked.
- A confirmation dialog will warn that active signatures are cleared and all parties must sign the next version.
You CANNOT unlock if:
- Status is Signed - the agreement has been fully executed.
- Status is completed, canceled, expired, or otherwise terminal.
- You do not have management permission for the agreement.
Important: Unlocking reverts the agreement to Draft status, supersedes the active signing revision, and clears live signature state. Previous signatures stay in the audit trail as historical evidence, but they no longer apply to the edited agreement.
