Why can't I edit my agreement anymore?

Your agreement becomes read-only in these situations:

  • Status is locked: Once an agreement reaches "Ready to Sign" or beyond, editing is restricted to protect document integrity.
  • You don't have edit permission: Only the agreement owner, agreement manager, or users with edit permissions can modify content.
  • Agreement is completed/signed: Finalized agreements cannot be edited. Consider creating an Amendment instead.
Tip: Before final execution, owners and agreement managers can use Reopen for Editing from a Ready to Sign, Signing, or Locked state. After Signed, Completed, Expired, or Canceled, use the Amendment feature instead.
