BYOC
How do recipients fill and sign a BYOC Original PDF overlay agreement?
Recipients receive the actual PDF-based agreement, not a rebuilt template. They review the preserved pages, complete the fields assigned to them, and sign in place.
RECIPIENT EXPERIENCE ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 1. OPEN INVITATION 2. REVIEW ORIGINAL PDF 3. FILL ASSIGNED FIELDS 4. OPTIONALLY VIEW TRANSLATION 5. SIGN 6. DOWNLOAD STAMPED / CERTIFIED OUTPUT
What recipients can fill
Recipients can change only the editable fields assigned to their party. They cannot move fields, edit another recipient's fields, or change the PDF layout.
- Text fields
- Name fields
- Date fields
- Initials fields
- Checkbox fields
What happens when they sign
- The signer completes identity verification using the normal EEZYDOX signing security flow.
- Their signature is applied to every signature box assigned to them in the frozen overlay snapshot.
- If an assigned name or date field was left blank, EEZYDOX can fill it automatically during signing.
Downloads
- Stamped PDF shows the original uploaded PDF with the live overlay values and signature images applied.
- Certified PDF becomes available after the agreement reaches the eligible signed state and includes the certified evidence package flow.
Tip: If the owner generated a frozen signing translation during lock, recipients can review that translated view while still signing the same frozen agreement.
