How do I use the BYOC Original PDF overlay flow from upload to sending?

Overlay mode keeps your uploaded PDF exactly as it looks and lets you add fillable fields and signature spots on top of the original pages.

1. Upload the PDF and select Original PDF overlay on the BYOC upload screen.
2. Open the workbench. EEZYDOX shows the original PDF pages instead of converting the contract into editable clauses.
3. Add recipients with their names, roles, and email addresses.
4. Place fields such as text, date, name, initials, checkbox, and signature on the exact spots where they belong on the PDF.
5. Assign each field either to a signer or leave it as an owner-prefilled field when it should already be filled before sending.
6. Use bulk tools to select multiple fields and assign them to one recipient, mark them required/optional, clear assignees, or delete them.
7. Review the Ready to Send dialog. The system blocks sending if a signer has no email, a signature field is unassigned, a required owner field is empty, or a field sits outside the page.
8. Freeze and send. This locks the PDF, the field layout, and the recipient assignments for signing.

You can also choose an optional one-time signing translation during the freeze step. That translation is for signer convenience, while the locked original remains the source of truth.
